This whimsical greenhouse venue nestled in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, just outside the village of Hartley Wintney, offers the perfect backdrop for intimate weddings. West Green House, an 18th-century country house and garden designed by acclaimed garden designer and writer Marylyn Abbott, is one of National Trust’s finest manor house gardens. It marries traditional style with contemporary design, making it a stunning and unique wedding venue. The Lakefield and Apple Orchard are also perfect for large marquee weddings and receptions.
West Green House: A magical greenhouse wedding
Peapod & Co. adored catering this glorious greenhouse wedding at West Green House in Hampshire. West Green House is a beautiful place—with its sweeping lawns, walled gardens, mix of trees, shrubs and flowers and a magical greenhouse where everything came together perfectly. It was the perfect place for our clients' big day.
At the L&S wedding, guests were greeted with bubbles, wine, and mocktails and serenaded by a saxophone before enjoying summer-inspired canapés. Dinner commenced in the candlelit greenhouse, which was decorated with colourful candles, greenery and fabulous floral arrangements designed by the florist, Hortus Poeticus. The guests were served a seasonal three-course meal and entertained by speeches and toasts delivered by the father of the bride, groom, and best man.
After dinner came dancing and cocktails, with DJ Joe Vetchy playing floor-fillers late into the night. Late-night food and wedding cake were served throughout the evening to re-energise guests until the early hours. The happy couple danced until the early hours to their favourite songs, celebrating their special day with their closest friends and family.
