Rosanna & Nick’s Travel Themed Wedding in Surrey
Rosanna and Nick’s epic travel-themed wedding took place in the beautiful Surrey countryside. Inspired by their shared love for adventure, holidays and favourite places around the world, the couple created an experience that transported their 200 guests to their favourite destinations around the world.
A Whimsical Woodland Ceremony
Set deep within the woodlands, the outdoor wedding ceremony was nothing short of magical. Guests meandered through a woodland pathway lined with foxgloves, ancient trees and ferns, arriving at a clearing where the ceremony was held under a floral archway.
Amidst towering trees and dappled sunlight, the couple exchanged vows in a personal ceremony, with a live band providing the soundtrack with hits like About Time - How Long Will I Love You. Following the ceremony, guests strolled along an enchanting, lantern pathway to the wedding drinks reception.
Wedding Reception
Heidsieck & Co. Monopole Gold Top Champagne, Aperol Spritz cocktails, and Minuty Rosé flowed as guests sipped and enjoyed a selection of canapés from the sea, soil, and land. Fun hot air balloons dangled from the sky, held by the team serving basil pesto and Gruyère toasties.
The breathtaking countryside views of rolling hills and gardens created an beautiful backdrop for Rosanna and Nick’s special day.
The Marquee
Guests were then called through into the grand pavilion tent for a three-course dinner, cake cutting, and speeches.
The bride and groom made an epic entrance to the marquee to the song Sunshine by Dario G., as guests cheered and waved their napkins in the air. The marquee was lined with palm trees and filled with tropical-inspired flowers and foliage, creating an amazing atmosphere.
Tables were dressed with bright blooms and Indian blue block-printed tablecloths and napkins, adding to the vibrant aesthetic. Each table was named after one of the couple’s favourite destinations: Barbados, Jericoacoara, Vermont, Notting Hill, and Adelboden in the Swiss Alps.
Wedding Menu
The couple chose a wedding menu that reflected their love of global flavours. Guests enjoyed a selection of canapés, including Keralan fried cauliflower, sashimi of tuna, prawn bon bons, teriyaki-cured beef, crispy fried chicken, confit duck cornettos, and Gruyère and basil pesto toasties.
For the starter, guests were served tandoori scallops with chickpeas, yoghurt, and cucumber.
For the main course, guests indulged in fillet of Hereford beef with béarnaise sauce, tomato chutney, and a gaufrette crisp, alongside roasted cauliflower with pomegranate and pistachio, and a spring salad with sesame, asparagus, spinach, and chilli.
The dinner concluded with a light dessert of pistachio mousse, dark chocolate crumble, coconut yoghurt, and strawberries.
Cocktail Bar and Wine
The tiki cocktail bar offered a fun selection of personalised, travel-inspired cocktails, including:
Spicy Rosalita (Spicy Margarita)
Nando Mule (Moscow Mule)
Chris-Kno Sour (Pisco Sour) - If you know, you know!
Evening Celebrations
As the sun set, guests hit the dance floor for the bride and groom’s first dance.
The live band kept the evening celebrations going with an electrifying set, and the dance floor stayed packed all night, illuminated by glowing LED light sticks.
To keep guests fuelled for the festivities, late-night treats were served, including BBQ pulled pork bao buns and classic Marmite & cheese toasties.
Guests received stylish personalised caps—a keepsake from Rosanna and Nick’s wedding day.
