JoJo & Ben’s Summer Wedding in Hampshire
We were thrilled when JoJo and Ben chose Peapod & Co. as the caterer for their summer wedding in the picturesque Hampshire countryside. The couple's special day began with a beautiful church service in the charming village of Upham.
After exchanging vows, the newlyweds exited the church in a swirl of confetti and whisked away in style in a Triumph Spitfire, with bridesmaids and page boys playfully running after them. As they made their entrance, guests were welcomed with a delightful champagne reception, alongside mocktails.
The Wedding Menu
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with flutes of chilled champagne and an array of exquisite canapés. Our chefs crafted a selection of canapés that perfectly captured the essence of summer, featuring seasonal ingredients and vibrant flavours. Guests enjoyed a selection of canapés, including Chargrilled ponzu broccoli tacos with whipped avocado, coconut, and pickled ginger, Botanical tuna sea garden, Seared scallop with nduja and artichoke, Dorset crab with lime and ginger in a cucumber cup, Beef carpaccio and Poached quail’s egg, pancetta, and hollandaise on a muffin.
Following the drinks reception, guests were invited into the marquee for the wedding breakfast and speeches. After heartfelt speeches that brought both laughter and tears, it was time for the main course.
Peapod & Co. curated a seasonal menu that reflected JoJo and Ben’s love for food and local ingredients. Guests savoured a delectable main course of Roast West Country lamb rump, roasted cauliflower, cauliflower purée, za’atar spiced new potatoes, spinach and jus. For those who preferred a meat-free and gluten-free option, we offered Roasted cauliflower steak, cauliflower purée with za’atar spiced new potatoes, spinach and salsa verdé.
After dinner, the couple surprised their guests by cutting their floral wedding cake with a ceremonial sword, adding a unique and memorable twist to the celebration!

Dancing the Night Away
The wedding party kicked off beautifully with JoJo and Ben's first dance, a magical moment showered in confetti that set the tone for a night of dancing. A live band kept the energy high, blending classic hits with modern favourites that had everyone on their feet. Guests enjoyed traditional English, French and artisan cheeses and an array of accompaniments — a perfect match for the evening’s wines.
JoJo and Ben’s wedding was a celebration brimming with laughter and happiness. The unique shaped boozy ice luge and surprise guest added an extra touch of excitement for the bride, groom and guests.
The wedding certainly knew how to keep the party alive!
